Analog Workshop is Johnny Mendoza, working out of LA, California. With a rich music background which included his guitarist father, a friend dj and a vinyl collection, Johnny started to build an interest around electronic music composing, both analog and software based, like Reason and the like. It's a bit awkward trying to dissecate his influences from the music he delivers with this 'Emporium of Broken Toys', the most notable is undoubtedly the scottish duo Boards of Canada, which has left various bits around Analog Workshop's tracks. This is a very interesting vision of nineties IDM and electronic pop, but with a unexpecting twist that comes from Analog Workshop's own musical ingredients. Nicely done!

Ludmilla has been one of the most successful and most versatile female breakbeat DJs for the last 9 years in Europe. In long time partnership with Beatman (creating the Beatman & Ludmilla formation), they have dozens of international releases and movie soundtracks under their belts. Their distinctive style got into shape by more than one thousand DJ appearances and live shows all across Europe (Hungary, Poland, Germany, Austria, and Romania). The Beatman & Ludmilla sound is identifiable by the adaptation of the classical instrumentation and the progressive, more dance-orientated breakbeats. Their works were retouched by the biggest names such as Aquasky vs Masterblaster, Backdraft, Shiloh – just name a few. These tracks were released on the scene’s hippest labels like Aurium Recordings (Max Graham, Ozgur Can, Benz and MD), Vinyl Addiction Breaks (Fingerlickin’s sister label), Cut’n'Run (UK no1 bootleg label), I-Lectrik, CHI, or Positiva’s Medcab bootleg-imprint.

Formed from the ashes of Detachment Kit, BRONZE is the brand new musical project created by blood brothers Charlie H. Davis III and Ian Menard. Joined by Chicago percussion mastermind and brass band veteran Jess Birch and guitar virtuoso Ian MacDermut, BRONZE bursts out of the gates playing boisterous rock anthems with spot on percussion and heavy hip-shaking beats. Based out of Brooklyn, NY, BRONZE follows in the musical vein of New Order and Brian Eno with the swagger of T. Rex.

Junip is a band headed by Jose Gonzalez and sounds just about what you would expect a band headed by Jose Gonzalez to sound like. Which is to say Junip's new EP is essentially four Jose Gonzalez songs complimented quite nicely with drums and a rhodes piano.
Its a simple, repetitive record that bares its soul from the very beginning. The first three tracks glide with driving jazz rhythms that recall early Nick Drake and Gonzalez's voice does little to quell the comparison. The strongest track is probably the last: "Loops" slows the tempo down and gently meanders through textures of thick finger picking, drums, and vocal harmonies.
Its hard for Gonzalez to escape his one-hit-wonder-cover of The Knife's "Heartbeats". His original work has been rather underwhelming, to say the least. With Junip, however, Gonzalez's song-craft has found some life that was grossly lacking before. Its a pretty good listen (especially with a good set of headphones).

Herr Soehngen & Madame Signe - Down In The Forest EP
Music & production: Herr Soehngen Music & text: Madame Signe Released: 31.03.2010 Style: Ambient, Chill-Out, Downbeat, IDM, Trip-Hop
Madame Signe and Herr Soehngen met over the internet and decided to do some music together in the beginning of 2007.
In summer Madame Signe packed her bag and took the train from Berlin to the Odenwald to stay with Herr Soehngen in his little music room for a few days. Some more visits followed and while having much fun, some walks and more cellar sessions four tracks were born.
But as Signe was involved in many projects, Soehngen was pinched for time because of jobs and family and Berlin is quite far from the Odenwald (5 1/2 hours by train), both agreed that further collaboration would be too time-consuming and cost-intensive (travelling by German Railway isn't a bargain).
Final arrangement and production was done by Herr Soehngen in 2008/2009.
In 2010 it's time to get this stuff from his harddisc to your ears.
You can download it free of charge! But please notice and respect that all rights are reserved and other uses than private listening have to be cleared with us before! So, please don't share the files but the link to this page!

Here it is ladies and germs! The mixtape has landed and it is yours to enjoy at the click of a mouse.
You can use this snazzy lil’ widget to preview all the songs and download the album as one complete zip with artwork and all that jazz. If you prefer seeing this on a full page you can also go straight to Bandcamp, that’s like the home base for the operation.
Feel free to post the mixtape on your own blogs and sites. Preferably, use the “Share” link to get the embed code and spread the love.
I hope you like the mix! As you probably know this is a sequel to the first Dirty South Dance CD that came out in 2007. For the die-hard collectors I’m teaming up with Obey again to make a deluxe pack that includes a poster, t-shirt and physical CD in sexy digipak format. Stay tuned for the exact release date, it’ll be in about 3 weeks.
Also, if you choose to download the audio in Ogg Vorbis format you’re a weirdo.

Bump Foot is running since its foundation in 2005, and it turned 5 years old on May 27. Two months ago, we had got an idea of preparing a compilation, and 5 participants (Karolis Buržinskas, Pics Frunk, Rog, Sequential 3 and Krzho) had responded. As I said before (the release of "Bicolor city"), "Yellow dots" (version 1) is here. 5 colours in cover images came from the participants : one colour by one artist. We made simple background (bar version) and a bit more dynamic one (tile version). With this compilation, Bump Foot started its sixth spin.

From across the misty hills of San Francisco, we welcome kid Shlohmo with his long-awaited Shlo-Fi EP for release at Error Broadcast. His instant-classic Shlomoshun EP made faces fall earlier this year but this one will boost the cat to a whole new level.
19-years old Shlohmo delivers the soundtrack for the LA aftershow party. His tracks swarm from dirty textures, strange sounds and obscured samples. It’s not Hip Hop what you hear, but the echoes are clearly there: under the blanket the beats are alive and kicking, the compression is awful (as we love it) and from the way Shlohmo arranges his tracks, it is clear what this kid listens to at night.

blue shimmery fall - pure celebrations of sound - something that is beautiful in its aesthetics, lively in its delivery, and leaves a profound feeling of exuberance with each listener and each track are a rare find in today's music world. this intangible something was achieved with love for music. though not as illustrious or memorable as the previous album, jasper boer ascends to one of music's glorious heights with the new album "blue shimmery fall" on maetrix. the eleven tracks presented on "blue shimmery fall" are each swathed in elated soundscapes that are also grounded with a dynamic use of rhythm and percussion, as well as an ardent sense of melodic finesse. and, unlike nearly every release tagged as "electronica", jasper boer does not rely on the style's clichés, such as glitches or dsp-effects. despite each track featuring little or no vocal accompaniment, the compositions never feel underdeveloped or incomplete, as the instrumental ambience, textures, rhythmic interplay, minimal drones, and soaring melodies pack enough sound into "blue shimmery fall" that each moment is bursting with life and vivacity. enjoy listening!

Monotonik is delighted to present a free, full six-track EP from Holland's Jasper Boer, aka Jap Jap, in the form of 'A Resonant Discovery', including a remix by Dutch artist Morgenfish.
The EP consists of varied types of beautifully smooth idm pieces coupled with evolving melodic motifs, which go through different moods: from chillout ambient to more uptempo material.
This showcases Jap Jap's signature style of solidly produced minimal yet melodic style of dance, which draws inspiration from dreampop, synthpop, postrock and electronica chill out genre artists Ulrich Schnauss and Manual.

It's good to come back to what you know, and we felt like UK artist Braces Tower, previously member of the Wiija-signed, Radiohead-supporting, Peel Session-ing Loveblobs way back in the mists of time, was due another release on Monotonik with his delightful blend of sass, electronics, and intelligent sampledelica, since his first 'Pshhh EP' was so well received by all a year or two back. So we asked him nicely, and the round-up compilation 'Pasteism' is the unholy result.
So there's a great deal of diversity across the 8 tracks of 'Pasteism', from the opening, wonderfully languid meanderings of 'Action Jackson', seguing straight into the frantic skank of 'El Fuego' - and the hits just keep on coming from there. Some of the other highlights? Let's try the sophisticated jazz of 'Spelling Bee', the funky Sesame-ish groove of 'Eleven Twelve', and the ending, tremendously blissed out nu chill of 'Nameless'. We're not nameless, but we are speechless.

"This release is my vision of darkside of lonelyness. Mind, which slides by downward spiral of depression and broken at the bottom of the little pieces of thoughts about anything", she said. QualooD brings us a great 14 track album here, a blend of downtempo and trippy beats describes this album best. Smooth flowing ambient sounds, pads and sweeps to start you off, contrasted by rhodes piano, deep bass, downtempo beats and even a few bleeps and blips here and there. Sit back and have a listen, you will love where it takes you.
